Lonestar Totebag

Join Natalie to make this beautiful Lonestar Totebag which is her own design. Pattern is provided to all participants. If you have never made a Lonestar, Natalie will walk you through all of the steps! Then you can transfer these skills to other Lonestar projects including quilts of any size. Keep the pattern and make bags for family and friends.

If you have basic sewing skills and have completed Beginning Quilting you can make this bag. 


  • 3/4 yard background fabric
  • 5/8 yard lining fabric
  • Various scraps of fabric; enough to make (48) 2” 45-degree diamonds.  If you don't have scraps pick out a Fat Quarter for each fabric you would like to include. You need a minimum of 3 or a maximum of 12.
  • 5/8 yard lightweight interfacing (Available at the QSC.)
  • 1 1/2 yards of 1 1/4” or 1 1/2” webbing (Quilt Shop Co-op carries white and black.)
  • coordinating thread
  • Pattern is provided by Instructor
  • Basic sewing tools plus rotary mat and cutter
  • Sewing machine
